Born into a modest family in Ishgard, Lhyet joined the Temple Knights to chase a childhood ambition. That ambition was realized at age twenty-nine when, under the mentorship of the Dragoon Erpalacion, he was admitted into the Order of Knights Dragoon. His service began in the Western Highlands, holding the border against the Horde, but was cut short when he disobeyed a direct command from the Holy See. While his mentor’s testimony saved him from a heresy charge, it didn't save him from discharge. Lhyet spent the following years in exile, only recalled to the front lines as the Dragonsong War reached its crescendo. In the war's aftermath, his record was reviewed, and he was fully exonerated - though by then he had realized the rigid life of a soldier no longer suited him.

In a city known for its stoicism, Lhyet is disarmingly easy-going. He is quick to laugh, quicker to share a bad joke, and steadfast in his refusal to let the bitterness of the war consume him. He is, however, disconcertingly cheerful in a crisis, tending to meet catastrophe with a lopsided grin and a chirpy, "Right then, best get stuck in."Having declined a return to active duty in favour of the freedom he found during his exile, he currently puts his lance to work for the relic acquisitions company, Dark Curio.Rumours that he has a signed Estinien Wyrmblood poster hanging in pride of place on his apartment wall are entirely unfounded.
I'm a UK-based Dragoon veteran on Balmung.I’ve been a career Dragoon since the early days of FFXI. Because of the time difference across the pond, I’m rarely online during prime server hours, but I’m always happy to connect. While I don’t have much time for in-game RP these days, I’m very open to Discord-based storytelling. Feel free to reach out!Out of game, I’m a kickboxer with a lifelong soft spot for spears. I picked up a Bo staff specifically to see if I could make Dragoon skills work in real life - with varied results. You can see a few of those below, with more on my socials.
